Photo Contests
Eligibility
1. Contests open to all Dominican girls/women living in any state in the United States of America.
2. All past contestants are eligible to apply ( current title holders are exempt from applying)
3. Must be Dominican or born to Dominican Parents. Mixed ethnicity is eligible.
Example: Dominican and Puerto Rican, Dominican and American, Dominican and Peruvian etc.
4. Can be born to Dominican parents in the United States.
Photo Submission Guidelines
1. Each participant may submit up to 3 photos for the contest for a $25 application processing fee.
2. Photos must be high-resolution (minimum 1080x1080 pixels) and in JPEG or PNG format.
3. Photos must not have been used in prior photo contests organized by Herencia Dominicana USA pageants.
4. Photos must be original and cannot be AI-generated or computer-generated images. All submissions must authentically represent the participant.
5. The photo must be the property of the person submitting it.
Participants must have full rights to use and distribute the photo, and must not submit photos owned by others without permission.
6. Photos must reflect the participant’s authentic appearance and creativity.
7. No explicit, offensive, or overly edited content will be accepted.
Voting Process
Voting will be a combination of public votes and judges votes. This is to avoid the concept of a candidate "buying their title"
1. Photos will be uploaded to the official Herencia Dominicana USA pageantwebsite for public voting.
2. Voters can cast their votes directly on the website, and participants are encouraged to share their voting link to gather support.
4. Five Judges will also submit up to 25 points each per contestant
5. The photo with the highest number of public votes (per category) will be given an additional 25 points to the score.
6. The contestant with the highest combined score declared the winner for each age category.
Prizes
Crown and sash with official title and $250 cash prize
Disqualification :
Participants will be disqualified if:
- Submission guidelines are not followed.
- Photos are found to be plagiarized, excessively altered, AI-generated, or previously used in Miss Herencia Dominicana USA photo contests.
- Any form of manipulation or unfair means is used to influence public voting.
- The participant is actively participating or holding an annual title in another pageant.
- The participant submits a photo in the incorrect age category.
- The submitted photo is not owned by the participant or the rights to the photo are not properly cleared.
Submission resulting in disqualification, automatically forfeits the $25 registration fee.
Additional Rules:
1. By submitting photos, participants grant Herencia Dominicana USA pageant permission to use them for promotional purposes.
2. The decision of the organizers is final and cannot be contested.
3. The pageant reserves the right to modify or cancel the contest at its discretion.
4. There must be 5 contestants minimum per category registered to hold contest per category. If full registration is not reached and contest is cancelled. registration fee will be refunded.
